Buttons the runaway puppy

Puppy Buttons lived with his elderly owner Mr. Jenkins who was sadly unable to keep up with looking after Buttons. A friendly neighbour called Sophie loved meeting Buttons on his walks and was sad when his walks stopped. Mr. Jenkins fell ill and Buttons escaped to get help and finds Sophie, when Mr, Jenkins gets better he invites Sophiies family to dinner and asks them to help care for Buttons. About a puppy called buttons and a girl called Sophie. Bottons’ owner is elderly and has to use a stick and can’t walk buttons too often and he trips on his stick and bottons gets help from Sophie and she takes bottons until he gets home and then it’s sad cos he can’t take care of her properly so Sophie takes buttons and he adopts an old greyhound from the shelter. I liked this book because it was a nice story and had a happy ending. It was suitable for an 8 year old. Show more Show less
